I've hunted eastern Iowa for my entire life. Since Dad first allowed my brothers and me to tag along on his hunts, until today, I've always enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity to chase Iowa's birds.
In the earlier days it was through corn fields. Now most of the birds are found in the tall grass fields that are so much a part of Iowa's farm scene.
As a farm manager, my access to such land is almost limitless. I have the opportunity to watch these farms for bird numbers from hatch through hunting and therefore a better ability to put you on birds when you come to "Wingshoot Iowa" with your friends.
