High Speed Internet Connection
Your High Speed Internet Connection uses a combination of Satellite Technology and standard modem technology to provide you with a state-of-the-art connection to the Internet.
All requests for information from the Internet is sent through your modem connection. This accounts for 10% - 20% of your communication to the net. All information sent to your computer (web pages, photos, music, etc.) is sent to your computer via the satellite downlink at a speed 30x to 100x faster. This accounts for 80% - 90% of your communication to the net. The overall result is a connection 20x - 50x faster than with your standard modem connection.
