Albert D. and Mary Hanson lived here in 1901. Their son, Paul Craver Hanson attended Polk School and became friends with Grant Wood either at the school or here in this 1800 block. During the winter, B Avenue was a very popular sledding spot starting in the 1800's block and stretching on to Polk School.
