David Turner moved here in 1911 and remained in this home with his family until 1929. Here, in the garage, is his son's signature . . . John B. Turner April 1927. David Turner was one of Grant Wood's chief sponsors. He allowed Grant and Grant's mother to move into number 5 Turner Alley behind his new mortuary.
