Mid-Continent Railway Museum

Located in North Freedom, Wisconsin, the museum prides itself on coverage of early 1900's railroading. Some of you may recall the museum's most famous steam locomotive, the R-1 and former CNW #1385. The museum has other steam power either running or on display. This includes a running Saginaw Timber locomotive and an under-restoration Shay. The webmaster helped out as a brakeman/conductor here in the summer of 1995. The museum is located only minutes west of Baraboo, Wisconsin or southwest of the Dells. The train runs 4 roundtrips daily.
